Earlier this month, DDK’s own Joel Rudolph represented our team at the Texas Forestry Association’s (TFA) Board of Directors meeting and legislative events, bringing landowner voices straight to the Capitol. But before we dive into the highlights, let’s take a moment to recognize the vital work of TFA.
Founded in 1914, the Texas Forestry Association is a nonprofit organization with the goal to “represent the people in the forest sector by promoting healthy political and economic climates, and to encourage sustainable forest management which provides clean air, clean water, diverse wildlife habitat, and products that enrich all our lives.”
At the most recent gathering, Joel presented the latest report from the Texas Forest Landowner Council and joined nearly 50 forest industry representatives at the Texas Capitol in Austin. The group met with legislative offices and shared insights on forestry’s economic and environmental impact. Their presence didn’t go unnoticed, both the House and Senate formally recognized the group during session. Joel also connected with key forestry leaders and, of course, a national icon and celebrity… Smokey Bear made an appearance.
DDK is proud to be part of TFA’s mission. Whether it’s speaking up for landowners in legislative halls or offering hands-on guidance in the field, we’re committed to helping you protect and grow your land legacy with insight, care, and professionalism.
Let’s talk about how we can support your forestry goals.
